Warranty

Every crate engine, transmission, and combo kit we sell is backed by its manufacturer's warranty. This page explains what's covered, how coverage varies by product, and how to file a claim if something goes wrong.

Coverage varies by manufacturer and product type, so review the terms below before you install anything.
Coverage

What's Covered, By Product

Warranty length depends on the manufacturer and the type of product. Here's a general guide — your specific product page or manufacturer documentation always takes precedence.

Product Type Typical Coverage
New Crate Engines (Ford Performance, BluePrint Engines, Chevrolet Performance) 12–24 Months
New Manual Transmissions (TREMEC) 12 Months
Engine & Transmission Combo Kits Per Component Warranty
Driveline Kits (Clutch, Flywheel, Bellhousing) 12 Months, Defects Only
Electrical Components, Sensors, ECU & Tuning Products 30 Days, Defects Only
Wear Items (Gaskets, Seals, Fluids) Not Covered

Custom And Special-Order Combos

A deposit may be required to place a custom-built or special-order combo on hold while you arrange full payment. Full balance is due within 30 days of the initial deposit, and the manufacturer's standard warranty terms apply once the combo ships.

Here's how to file a warranty claim, from first contact to resolution.

We Verify Coverage

We'll confirm your product's warranty status and, if needed, loop in the manufacturer directly.

Repair Or Replacement

Covered defects are repaired or replaced at no cost for parts. Transport or labor costs may not be included, depending on the manufacturer's terms.

Good To Know

Keeping Your Warranty Valid

Your Responsibilities

  • Have the part installed by a qualified mechanic following the manufacturer's instructions
  • Follow the manufacturer's recommended break-in and maintenance procedures
  • Use manufacturer-approved fluids and replacement parts
  • Report any suspected defect as soon as you notice it, rather than continuing to run the part

What's Not Covered

  • Damage from improper installation or unapproved modifications
  • Racing or competition use, unless the product is specifically rated for it
  • Normal wear items such as gaskets, seals, and fluids
  • Damage from lack of maintenance or use outside the manufacturer's guidelines

Each manufacturer may list additional exclusions specific to that product — refer to the documentation included with your order.

Legal

Warranty Limitations

Manufacturer Terms Apply

All warranties are ultimately subject to the terms set by the manufacturer of the specific product. Any implied warranties are limited to the coverage period the manufacturer specifies for that product.

Your Rights May Vary By State

Some states don't allow certain limitations on implied warranties, so these terms may not apply to you exactly as written. Your rights under your state's consumer protection law always take precedence.

Frequently Asked

Warranty Questions

How long is my engine or transmission covered?

It depends on the brand and product — new crate engines typically carry 12 to 24 months of manufacturer coverage, and new TREMEC transmissions typically carry 12 months. Check your specific product page for exact terms.

Does the warranty cover installation labor?

Warranty coverage is for parts affected by defects in material or workmanship. Labor and transport costs may or may not be included depending on the manufacturer's specific terms — we'll confirm this when you file a claim.

Will installing it myself void the warranty?

Not necessarily, but the part must be installed correctly and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Damage caused by improper installation is not covered.

What if I bought a used or clearance item?

Coverage on used or clearance items varies and is often shorter than on new inventory. Check the specific listing or contact us before ordering if you need this confirmed.

How do I start a warranty claim?
